Joshua brings with him 17 years experience, ranging from providing Outpatient Education and Diversion Services for criminal justice youth and adults of all ages to working with MHSA funded Assertive Community Treatment and Crisis Emergency Response Teams at the County level specific to high need/ at risk adults. He is an East Bay native, born and raised- currently Assistant Program Director at a local Dual-Diagnosis Residential Treatment Program established over 40 years ago. Joshua shares a mutual passion with fellow board members to support people that struggle mental health challenges as well as those who battle stigma and unite for wellness alongside them. He himself is a long-term recovered person as well as a current key supporter and past caregiver of a family member diagnosed nearly 30 years ago. Mr. Paulos earned 4 degrees from California State University East Bay, an undergraduate double major in Psychology and Human Development with a minor in Women’s Studies, as well as his Master’s degree in Social Work.
