MacKenzie has been working in the mental health field since 2006, providing support to a variety of populations including homeless adults, displaced workers, people in crisis, and those managing chronic mental illness through her work with Bay Area Community Services and Crisis Support Services of Alameda County. MacKenzie has participated in ongoing mental health care for depression since childhood and is committed to supporting others through their own struggles. MacKenzie has a BA in Politics from Scripps College and an MA in Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
