As Program Evaluation Specialist, Sarah works to capture a range of data about PEERS’ impact and turn that data into useful information that helps us further our mission.
Sarah has worked on issues ranging from racial and economic justice to educational equity. Prior to joining PEERS, she was on the research team at Urban Strategies Council. She also managed a statewide child and youth data website, kidsata.org. She worked in the youth development field for over a decade, running programs for immigrant and LGBT youth and working on a range of public health issues.
As a family member, a foster-adoptive mother, and an active public school parent, Sarah has experience with multiple aspects of our local mental health system. She believes that people with lived experience of mental health challenges bring essential insights to movements for social justice.
Sarah lives in San Leandro with her spouse and their young adult daughter. She’s also a runner, a passionate reader, and a writer.
