Yesterday, PEERS staff were treated to a team building training by WRAP facilitators Crystal Brinkley and Charlene Feathers. Staff engaged in several team building exercises that were designed to explicate interpersonal strengths and weaknesses within our organization. One exercise involved communication between different groups and puzzle-solving. Another exercise allowed staff to brain-storm about wellness culture and support practices. The final exercise enabled staff to support one another directly, on a personal level.

This training incorporated many elements of the Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) — the flagship support service that PEERS offers to the public. WRAP is a system for self determination and empowerment that many people find useful in maintaining their own wellness.
