Peers Envisioning and Engaging in Recovery Services (PEERS) is offering the 5-day Seminar II WRAP Facilitator Training!

Dates: Monday, December 11 through Friday, December 15 (participants must be able to attend all 5 days of training)

Times: 9am to 4:30pm

Location: PEERS, 333 Hegenberger Rd., Suite 250, Oakland, CA

Cost: $1200*

What you get: The Seminar II WRAP Facilitator Training is an intense and highly interactive workshop which provides participants with the initial tools to facilitate WRAP groups and support other people to develop their own WRAPs.  After this training, participants will have a personal understanding of the values and ethics of WRAP, mental health recovery concepts, how WRAP works and how to use WRAP for themselves, and learn facilitation techniques based on WRAP principles.

Pre-requisites: Applicants must have attended at least 8-10 weeks of a WRAP group OR a 2-day WRAP workshop. Applicants must also have created their own WRAP and be highly familiar with implementing their WRAP in their daily life. Applicants should be prepared to share their personal experiences using WRAP. There are no academic or professional prerequisites for the seminar.

Certification: Attendance of the Seminar II Training is not a guarantee of certification. Each participant is required to complete four different performance elements during the training. Facilitators will work collaboratively with participants to do their best to make all participants successful. Those who receive a certification can then co-facilitate groups in the community.

Logistics: All supplies will be provided as well as breakfast and lunch on each day. Free parking is available onsite.

Applying: To apply, please fill out an online application.

For more information, please contact Rachel Beach at rbeach@peersnet.org or 510-832-7337 extension 202.

*While PEERS has on some occasions had funding to cover the cost of the training in the past, for this training there is a cost per attendee. Some employers/organizations will sponsor trainings. We recommend asking about this professional development opportunity which will enable you to provide WRAP groups anywhere.
