PEERS at the POCC Latino Power Event

Last night, PEERS took part in the Pool of Consumer Champions‘ 3rd annual Latino Power Event at Hayward City Hall. Attendees were treated to talks by notable members of the Latino/a/x community, including PEERS’ own Irma Hernandez. After a keynote address by community organizer Gilberto Romero, attendees ate a buffet-style dinner, participated in a drum circle, and watched indigenous cultural dancers perform. This event is part of a larger effort by PEERS and the POCC to reduce mental health stigma in the Latino/a/x community in the East Bay.

PEERS is currently offering a Spanish-language support group for those looking for help with their own health and wellness. Email latino@peersnet.org for more information!

PEERS está buscando miembros de la comunidad latina, para nuestros próximos grupos de apoyo. Si está interesado por favor comuníquese al 510-567-7621 o latino@peersnet.org
